A Children's Storybook Shares a True Story of Faith, Perseverance and Hope from a Michigan Farm titled: Stella Bella's Pygmy Goat Miracles released in time for the 2024 Holiday Season.

BYRON CENTER, MICHIGAN, 11/15/2024

After a discouraging year, Nicole Zaagman was ready to give up. In a year, Zaagman experienced one heartbreak after another as not one, but three of her goats required life-saving c-sections during kidding. A c-section means a doe's breeding career is over as the risks are too high to repeat pregnancy. In the same year, Zaagman lost a young doe unexpectedly and the third kidding resulted in a still born baby doeling. In a matter of months, her breeding program plans were gone, losing 5 pygmy goat does. Zaagman had one last option. A little doe named Stella.

Stella was Parkside Farm's last hope, a doe without a breeding record and the least expensive pygmy goat purchased to date. But alas, after many failed breeding attempts, Stella would not conceive. Month after month, she would come back into heat. After consulting with veterinarians and tweaking her diet there were no results. There was one thing that had not been tried and that was prayer! Zaagman finally got down on her knees, laid both hands on Stella's tummy and asked Jesus to bless Stella with a baby for the Jump for JOY Program® for the following year.

Stella Bella’s Pygmy Goat Miracles is the true story about a little pygmy goat who wished to be a momma. After months of no pregnancy, Stella Bella’s owner Miss Nicole laid hands on her tummy and prayed for a miracle. Jesus heard the prayer and blessed Stella Bella with twin baby pygmy goats named Sapphira and Solomon. Join Stella Bella and her babies as they share their story of faith, perseverance, and hope. This storybook is dedicated to Veterinarian Dr. Meggan Freeland.

After one last breeding attempt, Zaagman was shocked when Stella did not return to heat. Cautiously optimistic, Nicole took Stella for an ultrasound a month later where Dr. Meggan Freeland confirmed not only was Stella pregnant, she was carrying twins! Excitement and joy filled the room as everyone watched two tiny babies dance on the screen of the ultrasound machine. Jesus had heard the prayer and answered in a tremendous way after nearly a year of failed breeding attempts. Zaagman could hardly contain the renewed hope she felt and the smile on her face.

5 months later, Stella naturally kidded two healthy kids, a doe and a buck. Zaagman named the kids Saphhira and Solomon, put together meaning: beautiful peace. After a year of loss and trauma, the Lord was gracious and provided two adorable miracles bringing beauty from ashes and calm in the midst of the storm. Sapphira and Solomon went on to spread JOY to thousands of children and adults through the Jump for JOY Program® in 2024. They traveled with Zaagman all over Michigan to meet families at library visits, community festivals, special events and more!
